WELCOME TO ONTARIO XTREME COWBOY
The Ontario Xtreme Cowboy Club
Ontario Xtreme Cowboy (OXC) was founded in 2012 to promote the sport of Extreme Cowboy Racing in Ontario.
The goal of Extreme Cowboy Racing is to allow riders the opportunity to demonstrate horsemanship at a higher level and to test their knowledge and set of equestrian skills through specially designed courses and obstacles. The ranch and trail based obstacles challenge both horse and rider at all levels of riding ability. Riders are encouraged to work through the levels of extreme cowboy racing towardsthe ultimate goal of demonstrating both horsemanship and speed through the partnership of horse and rider.
The OXC is governed by the rules and regulations set forth by the Extreme Cowboy Association.
The Extreme Cowboy Association
The OXC is an affiliate of the The Extreme Cowboy Association (EXCA) which is the “Official Governing Body” of Extreme Cowboy Racing. The EXCA and its world renowned Extreme Cowboy Race was established by the "Original Extreme Cowboy," Craig Cameron.
Craig Cameron has achieved national recognition and prominence as a true cowboy and is known as the "Cowboy's Clinician." Craig is a member of the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame and Culver Riding Academy Hall of Fame and is one of the finest horsemen in the United States. Craig has taken the Extreme Cowboy Challenge across the country with the Extreme Cowboy Association to promote horsemanship skills and enhance the
communication between horse and rider.
Extreme Cowboy Association members can earn points in OXC sanctioned races to compete for EXCA World Championship qualification!

Together, OXC and ORaHA are committed to strengthening Ontario's western riding community and creating a more accessible, engaging and rewarding season for riders of all levels!
2026 EVENT CALENDAR
The Ontario Xtreme Cowboy Club and the Ontario Ranch Horse Association are excited to announce a new collaborative partnership for the 2026 season. By aligning our schedules and introducing a shared event calendar, we are making it easier than ever for riders to broaden their skills, explore new disciplines and participate in more events across the province.
A key feature of this partnership is the introduction of crossover weekends - strategically coordinated dates where riders can compete in both Extreme Cowboy and Ranch Horse classes at the same venue or within the same weekend. This joint approach not only streamlines travel and planning, but also encourages riders to challenge themselves, connect with new communities and experience the best of both worlds!
